DISCUSSION ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTIONS

Discussions are collaborative learning experiences. Therefore, you must provide a thread in response to the provided topic for each forum. Each thread must be at least 500 words and include a citation and reference in current APA format. In addition to the thread, you must reply to at least 2 classmates' threads. Each reply must be at least 200 words.

There will be four Discussions throughout the course. Submit your thread by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Thursday of the assigned module: week, and submit your replies by Sunday at 11:59 p.m. (ET) of the same module: week. For Module 8: Week 8, discussion replies are due by 11:59 p.m. (ET) on Friday.

In this module’s reading, Manning (2020) writes, “At the heart of the Christian faith and of Jesus’ teaching is an impulse toward unity” (p. 278). He then goes on to detail how deeply Jesus understands us and that, when we move away from God, we are alienated from ourselves and each other. Further, Manning (2020) discusses our human tendency to get wrapped up in our own ego and to ignore “our faults, vulnerabilities, and insecurities or by scapegoating and projecting them onto others” (p. 278).

Regarding the concept of student diversity, inclusion, and respecting all people as we welcome all students into our classrooms, discuss the role that a Biblical perspective has in promoting excellence for all students.
