Design Thinking Practical Application

 Scenario

Your firm has been hired to use design thinking to redesign/reconceive an everyday object. Consider some examples:

• Apple Pay, Google Pay payment systems that replace traditional credit/debit cards
• A bicycle with power assist to make cycling easier for non-cyclists
• Elon Musk's Hyperloop transport system
• The iPhone in 2007 replacing older mobile phone technology

Your Task

1. Pick one of the products that benefitted from design thinking (listed here (Links to an external site.)Links to an external site.) and use the design thinking process to make the product even better.
2. Make sure you discuss all of the key elements of the design thinking process - investigation, ideation, prototyping, feedback, testing, etc.

4. For the Prototype and Test phases, you can create your own likely scenarios. But, really put thought into what you think would happen in these phases. Be realistic and most of all, have fun with this assignment!
