Advanced Layout Notebook: We will explore the following InDesign skills throughout the quarter. 500PTS

• Tabs how to effectively use tabs, set them, and incorporate them into styles
• Tables how to place and create tables
• Grid Systems structures of basic grids including baseline grids
• GREP How to use advanced command line instruction to place objects
• Anchored Objects What is an anchored object, how to use them, and why
• Tables of Contents how to streamline creating and automating a TOC
• Find/Replace while this is a basic function Find/Replace can speed up changes to text
• Paragraph and Character Styles styles are the key to professional workflow
• Nested Styles how to create them and the difference between Based On and Next Styles

You will be responsible for creating a notebook of all of the inclass assignments from each topic. For your notebook you will have a brief introduction of your research and the example with notes of important points.
