1.  Review Chapter 1 in the course textbook - according to Cooper (2012), is it clear what considerations or actions should occur when personal ethics conflict with organizational ethics? If so, what are these considerations or actions?

2. Your own past experiences, what do you communicate to your immediate supervisor and when/if to jump the chain of command – and under what circumstances? How does this topic fit into public ethics?

3. Is it ethical to fire a "minimally competent" employee before their probationary period ends simply because they are only "minimally competent?" What ethical theory can be used to justify such a decision?
