Data collection 2

Data can be derived from surveys, interviews, and/or existing or new questionnaires.  In 300 words, discuss when it is suitable to use each method for collecting data.  When interviewing individuals, what are some characteristics of well-trained interviewers?  Which characteristic do you think is most important and why?
