Current Event
Read a newspaper editorial that involves a current event, using one of the links in the Source Materials section (Los Angeles Times, New York Times, BBC News). Then, write an essay arguing your position on the issue raised by the article. Submit the essay to CPR by the deadline!
Note: There will be many different essay subjects to read in the Calibration and Review Stage. Stick to the rubric for assessing each essay. Do not compare the topic of each essay; instead, focus on the development, organization, and mechanical correctness.
Required Length: around 1000 words.
