 •This document is an executive order signed by the governor of Virginia on April 22, 2016 that removes the "political disabilities consequent upon conviction of a felony."  This means that people in Virginia who have been convicted of a felony in Virginia and served their prison sentence or completed their probation/parole, have their rights restored. 

  •They can now vote, hold public office, serve on a jury, and become a notary public. 

•Florida is not as friendly to people with felony convictions.  Over 2 million people in the state of Florida have a felony conviction and cannot vote, hold public office or serve on a jury.

 •Do you believe Florida should restore the rights of convicted felons once they complete their prison sentence or their probation period?

 •Explain both the pros and cons to this policy and support your final decision with research and data.
