Scenario

After the Kobe Steel scandal that shocked the steel industry in 2018, the board of directors (BOD) has explored methods to ensure these types of issues never impact the quality of PMI products. The Kobe Steel scandal had a long-lasting effect on the supply chain channels in the steel industry which PMI relies on. The BOD has requested that you, the chief technical officer, work with the director of operations to form a Quality Committee that will explore PMI seeking the ISO certification to help combat these issues. The committee has been tasked with laying out a standard operating procedure (SOP) for all facilities that will be used as a framework when PMI applies for the ISO certification. The BOD has also asked for artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions that will help ensure that issues at Kobe Steel never impact the quality of PMI’s products.

For this assignment, you must prepare a paper that will address how artificial intelligence and machine learning solutions can help ensure that external and internal issues never impact the quality of PMI’s products.
