Directions:

Following the steps below, write a message to:

• Your professor (at least 2 paragraphs).
• A close friend (you decide the length).
• A classmate (1 paragraph).

Think about your communication purpose and what you want to say (content) as well as the organization.

1. In each of the messages, tell your audience about your favorite television show, movie, or book. Be sure to describe the item well. Give three reasons why it is your favorite.
2. In each of the messages, consider your intended audience (your close friend, classmate, or professor) and pick the best level of formality and tone for your audience.
3. At the bottom of each message, clearly identify how you want to communicate your message (email, text, face to face or written note) and why you chose that method.
