In Chapters 1 and 4 of your A History of American Higher Education text, Thelin describes how responsibilities were managed in the early colonial colleges and later in the growing university sector. Consider what you have observed in your own experience as well as in your reading. Then, choose one particular office or institutional division and predict how its function may change in the near future. Provide at least one specific example of what a change in function might mean to future students and faculty.
