ASSIGNMENT: Research the prevalence and types of terrorism that have impacted the United States over its history.  Discuss at least three insights that can be gained from the available data on the sources of terrorism impacting the U.S.  Some important topics include, the affiliation of terrorists, the motive, the means, and any support received from within or external to the group.

  One source that can start your research is the Johnston archive at http://www.johnstonsarchive.net/terrorism/wrjp255a.html.  While not a peer-reviewed source, it can be used to prompt further research efforts.  This list only dates back to the assassination of President Lincoln.
