Base Pay Structures

 When designed and administered appropriately, an organization’s compensation programs can be effective in supporting the overall business strategy. Such programs begin with identifying pay structures. Our textbook talks about things that influence pay structures on pages 224-226. Review the list of general factors and select any one. Then, (1) give a general meaning for the one you selected, and (2) state why you believe it is important to know.
