GANTT CHART ASSIGNMENT TEMPLATE

Assignment2-GanttCharts-LeadingProjects.docx

AOS492- Unit 4

Gantt Chart Assignment #2

1. Review the Gantt Chart video from YouTube and the unit 4 lecture. https://youtu.be/jojkpuWagt4?si=ivVsmwT0AhGzGv7D

2. Use the template attached to the assignment (and found in Unit 4 content) to create a Gantt chart for a fictitious project (you may not use the project in the video example). It can be anything- complexity is not your friend- no more than 10 tasks. This is simply an opportunity to try Gantt charting- practice making one using logic and your work or life experience. You can hypothesize the tasks and deadlines, etc. if they are reasonable. For example, it takes more than one day to build a house.

**You must use an Excel sheet with the same formatting- don’t use another software product or copy and paste a chart from work or another source that has been pre-made.

3. In addition to uploading the completed Excel file with your name in the title of the file, you will answer the following questions in the form of a word document also with your name in the title.

Supplemental Questions: This should be a Word document or a PDF.

1. Briefly describe the project- in 1-2 paragraphs. Tell us what one might not see from just looking at the Gantt chart.

2. Tell us about your experience with Gantt charts.

a. If this is your first one, then tell us what you learned doing the exercise.

b. If you have done them before, tell us three things you recommend paying attention to when working with Gantt charts.
