 read a PDF of "Foreword: Birth of a Revolution" and "Introduction" from Octavia's Brood: Science Fiction Stories from Social Justice Movements, pages 1-5. Then, answer the following questions: 

1. In your own words, why is this book (and/or social justice movements in general) necessary, according to Sheree Renée Thomas in "Foreword: Birth of a Revolution," and what line or lines best support your answer?
2. What would you say is the hope of this anthology, according to Walidah Imarisha, and what line inspires your response? 
3. What is the significance of the anthology's title, Octavia's Brood," according to Imarisha? 
4. How do you interpret Imarisha's statement that "And for those of us from communities with historic collective trauma, we must understand that each of us is already science fiction walking around on two legs" (5)?
