This discussion assignment was inspired by the book "Walden" written by Henry David Thoreau in 1854. I have provided a very, very, brief summary of key points that relate to this particular chapter on the environment and this particular assignment. When do you think about the natural world? When you see it on TV or in books or magazines? Or when you really participate in it? Does your daily routine include being a part of the natural world? Do you normally view nature with aesthetic (look it up if you don't know what this means!) appreciation, as a resource to be used, or as an intrusion to be minimized in an otherwise comfortable setting? Try to link concepts from the Walden handout in your response. Absolute minimum of 150 words.
