Assignment

at this point in your academic studies you are familiar with the term "community-policing."  Some major departments have specific personnel assigned to community-policing duties. For this DQ you are required to identify the specific skills or qualifications an officer should possess prior to an assignment to a community-policing unit. For example, should the officers have strong oral and writing skills, or have years of experience, or speak a foreign language.

Note: It is recommended that you conduct research of a few major police organizations to determine if specific skills are mentioned.
