Practice using your research skills and conduct a brief search of our library database to find an example of criminal justice research where a survey was used as the primary data collection method. Provide a brief  summary of the article and discuss why you think the author chose to use surveys as the data collection tool. In your discussion, consider the strengths and weaknesses of survey research presented in this module. Reflect on some of the shortcomings of the study with respect to these factors (e.g. are there concerns that a survey approach may be too artificial for the research question?, what are the validity and reliability issues?, was the sample size adequate for the research question?, are there any indications that there may be bias in the sample?)
