Directions:-

• Open a WORD  file and save it as Lastname_Firstname_Chapter10_Project. Note the Lastname and Firstname is your Lastname and your Firstname.
• You receive your monthly credit card statement and find several charges that amount to roughly $1000 from retailers you have never visited or used online.  After doing some research, you find out that three new credit card accounts have been opened in your name and a loan for $5000 has been issued in your name.  This seems to be a case of identity theft.  In a Word document, discuss all aspects of this issue.  
  • How can you determine the amount of the theft?
  • What are the immediate steps you need to take to stop any further charges?
  • What are the next steps you need to take to repair and fix your identity?
  • Provide a list of the long term steps you can take to prevent the theft of your identity?
