Upon completing the course, the student will understand critical environmental and social issues affecting human health, populations, biodiversity, and resource conservation.
· The student will critique a current journal publication or summarize writing from a scientific source.
For this assignment, you will find a current article (written within the last six months) that is somehow related to a topic that we studied this semester. You may use any legitimate source, however, I find www.sciencedaily.com to be a great source for such articles. You will submit a word document for this assignment. Please address the following questions in your document. This should be in paragraph form as you will be graded for paragraph and sentence structure, grammar, and spelling.
1. Provide the title, author (or organization), and date of the article.
2. Give a summary of the article. You should explain the purpose of the research, research technique/strategies, results, and how these findings are significant. See the attached rubric for scoring guidelines.
3. Explain how the article relates to a topic that we studied in class this semester.
