Dear Peter Janvier,
Thank you for your time and letting Thomas Yang estimate the damages at your house. In 15 years of operation, Backyard Escape seldom had to return to the property to do repair-based work. Backyard Escape have carefully trained technicians and uses high-quality materials. Therefore, products that are offered should last a lifetime with regular maintenance. Thus why we guarantee coverage for 5 years, free of cost with all the product.
However, to make the warrantee claim, homeowners must show evidence that show the deck has been maintained at every two years by our company or another company. Maintenance must include resealing the wood with WeatherTec Sealant. Homeowners can maintain the wood product themselves, but must show dated receipts for the purchase of WeatherTec Sealant to make a warranty claim. If homeowners sell the house, they can pass on the warranty to the new owner all the required evidence of maintenance. The requirement is clearly stated on the final invoice when any wood structure is installed.
According to Thomas Yang, there was no evidence of maintenance done by the previous owner. Therefore, I regret to let you know the warranty on your property is invalid.
If you still would like to get your repairs done, we would love to offer you 15% discount on the labour. Also, would like to offer you 20% off on maintenance for 10 years. Feel free contact me if you have any questions or concerns. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Ted Mills
