Using critical analysis and logic, take a significant position on an arguable issue based on race, ethnicity, or diversity in the United States. An arguable and focused thesis is a must, as is keeping your paper focused on the idea of your thesis. Consider your audience, who are your peers in class and your professor. If you are an expert on this topic, you should take care to explain any terms or jargon used in your field. Finally, the level of analysis and self-reflection, along with grammar and mechanics, should be that of a college student.
