The articles in this unit demonstrate (1) how people who commit deviant acts escape being labeled as deviant by others, AND (2) how people manage to avoid thinking of themselves as deviants. Use appropriate examples from the assigned readings to describe how each process (BOTH 1 and 2) might work!

Paper should:

· Be 4 pages, typed, and double-spaced, 12-point-standard font

· Include proper in-text citations and references section

· Demonstrate that you read and understood assigned readings; demonstrate critical thinking skills and ability to synthesize information

· Demonstrate college-level writing (i.e., proper spelling, grammar, proper use of paragraph breaks, proper sentence structure, proper in-text citations)

· No cover page needed!
