Section 2: Thesis Statement
By encouraging working remotely, organizations are able to boost their overall productivity as well as job satisfaction within the employees.
Section 3: Starting Draft
Working remotely basically refers to working away from the office. This is a great idea depending on the nature of the duties and responsibilities that an organization has (French, 2011). Generally, working remotely comes along with various benefits for the individuals as well as the organization in general. One of the major benefits is the fact that it is less stressful. Employees are able to work with flexible timelines that suit their lives. It is also a cost-effective strategy as an organization does not have to rent offices for its employees. Lastly, employees who work remotely are generally happier and motivated because they like what they do. This is advantageous to them at a personal level as well as to the organization in general because there is a significant improvement in terms of performance.
Apart from the numerous benefits associated with working remotely, there are also challenges that negatively affect this idea. First of all, the employees will lack the bond because they work individually and not as one physical team. Employees can also be easily distracted because they will be working from unofficial locations (Ben, 2015). Lastly, employees might have a difficult time separating professional from personal work. This can negatively affect their performance.
Depending on the specific challenges that come along with working remotely, various solutions can be implemented to make sure normal operations are restored.
