Jacob Work:

The said tech giants Facebook, Google, Apple, etc situated in the Silicon Valley are accused of violating the antitrust laws by gathering huge power and using the needs of consumers to use for their advantage. There were also experts who argue that the antitrust laws which were formed before the invention of internet are not reliable enough to counter the big organizations monopoly behavior. There were studies made on these tech giants which made the experts believed that these tech giants have not allowed the competition to grow in the market segment in which they were growing(McCareins., 2019). The anti-trust laws are formed to save the market segments from the formation of single dominant firm which would allow the growth of competition in the market. The growth of competition would result in the greater number of choices for the customers to choose from and also results in more diverse technological advancement in the markets. According to some experts the laws which existed from decades, have been made to eliminate the monopoly in any market segment but there were many tech giants whose behavior is similar to the monopoly in the market(McGuigan  et al., 2011).

The anti-trust laws formed have not made in terms of the prices but in terms of competition which is a loophole used by these tech giants to eliminate the competition in the markets. The consumers have no more choices to choose from in the market which gives the tech giants like Google, Amazon, etc, the power of monopoly indirectly. There were no similar kinds of substitutes for the customers to choose which gave the liberty to these tech giants to set the standards in the market. The Face book and Google are accused of using the user personal data for illegal trade. The Google also had faced the punishments from European laws for keeping some of its default applications on the android operating systems and not allowing the other competitor applications. I believe that the tech giants have made one or the other activities that violated the antitrust laws. Amazon is also maintaining the monopolistic attitude in the e-commerce marketing segment(Brandom & Russell., 2018).

Rakshit Work:

Subsequently, years of intense growth motivated by an always-increasing segment of the connected advertisement marketplace and massive data, the hulks of Silicon Gorge, containing Facebook, Google, Amazon, and Apple, are facing an extraordinary contest — requests by politicians to restrict their marketplace control influence. There are two bases of pressure linking to these four tech companies that take produced anxiety through the Unified States, Europe and away: primary, that they might have affianced in anti-competitive performance over several years, therefore, challenging smaller possible holding and rival son an enormous marketplace share; and another, that such as a consequence of this metastatic growing, they now take a massive inspiration on policy, policy and individual statuses through the spectrum, creation cost of documents secrecy openings by these firms calamitous (Rusche, 2019).

Main Concern with Each Platform

Amazon:

Specified the disrupting consequence of its available deals stage on outdated trade, smaller sellers and marketers, policymakers used for years and in numerous nations have anticipated rules to hold down on Amazon's imaginary anti-competitive performs. For instance, queries have frequently been elevated on whether Amazon favoritisms its self-branded goods over individuals of third gathering vendors, by demanding other venders to usage its publicity facilities or completion system, through rankings of goods examine shows, or by using the information on additional vendors to tweak its donations to its benefit.

Apple:

U.S. congressional detectives required papers as of Apple to shelter light on the corporation's Application Stock policies, precisely concerning how Apple positions search consequences on that stage, inquiries nearby how Apple controls the share of expenses it takings as of in-app consumptions, and the elimination of certain opposing apps from the Stock (Shao, 2020).

Facebook:

Controllers have absorbed their consideration on Facebook's grasping stripe in center markets, for instance, the U.S. FTC query into whether Facebook sensitively bought certain corporations to preserve its pre-eminent market location in the shared networking ecology.

Google:

Facebook established that it was existence examined by Google and FTC that it remained facing a Section of Fairness antitrust investigation. Concluded the ensuing months, Attorneys-General through fifty U.S. federations and regions pronounced a combined antitrust examination into Facebook and Google (Hazlett, 2020).
