Professional Development Goals

As a nursing professional and student, my goals are to gain clinical knowledge and experience as a family nurse practitioner. I would plan to strengthen my critical thinking, physical assessment, pharmacology, and diagnosing skills. I would like to implement cost- effective healthcare strategies to reduce health disparities. As I have clinical and leadership experience, I would like to grow a family nurse practitioner and apply my skills to an administrative leadership role. As an advanced practicing nurse, I would like to focus on patient care from a quality and regulatory position; and devise clinical improvement strategies and outcomes. I would also gain more knowledge and experience from polictical stance. I will join American Nursing association and utilize the professional organization as a great resource.

Alignment with Social Change

As I set out to grow as a family nurse practitioner, I plan to align my growth skills with improving the quality and health compliance issues in my community. There are so many individuals with chronic health conditions, that could be improved with better educational resources and on compliance programs. My community if flooded with patients diagnosed with hypertension and diabetes. I would plan to strategies and design and implement compliance programs to increase awareness and compliance. Providing better educational and compliance insight will allow healthcare providers to better understand the barriers in the communities and better reshape improvement. My primary goal related to social change, will be to continue shaping and improving the healthcare of my rural community.

Conclusion

I am highly motivated in improving my nursing and leadership skills. I will continue to work hard and stride for personal and professional growth. Becoming a nurse practitioner has been a lifelong goal and work for my patients and maintain professional and ethical morals as long as I am practicing.
