Case:19-year-old African American female came in for counseling. Single with one child that has been removed by CPS. She is pregnant with another child that she is considering putting up for adoption. She has just started working and obtained a place to live. Her two-year-old was removed because she and the 2-year-old were both positive for cocaine. Her father had been living with her and he is a known drug user and was cooking drugs in her apartment while Mary was working. As a result, all of the children in the home (because she let others live there also) were removed. The patient does herself have a history of marijuana use, as well.
