Trends in Organizational Diversity [WLOs: 1, 2] [CLOs: 2, 3, 4, 5]

Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, please read Chapters 11 and 12 of your  Kinicki and Williams  (2018) textbook, and the article by Grafstein (2019), “ The No. 1 Strategy for True Inclusion in the Workplace (Links to an external site.) .”

In an initial post of at least 300 words, citing at least two required sources, analyze contemporary thinking on organizational trends in diversity and how these changing trends are influencing organizations. Discuss the effects, both positive and challenging, that diversity can have on organizational performance, providing at least one example of your own, and explaining how diversity affected that organization. Outline the roles and responsibilities of leaders and managers in creating open, inclusive work environments for people from different backgrounds and with different personal and behavioral characteristics.

Guided Response: Answer any questions your instructor has about your initial post, and respond to at least two of your classmates’ postings by Day 7. Each of your responses to your classmates should be at least 100 words in length. Ask about your classmate’s perspective regarding the positive and challenging aspects of diversity. Share an example about workplace diversity and inclusion that will help your classmate understand your point of view.
