Introduction

Adoption of a program in a learning institution comes with different needs and factors to consider. Introducing a new program means that an institution must have all resources that are essential to promote an effective and smooth implementation process. The acting program that was introduced will need extra effort from the school, and this is because this is an additional program that will need additional space as well as additional costs. At the same time, the environment and the needs of the students are factors to consider. The research will be looking at the best models and practices that need to be included in the implementation of the acting program in the institution.

Administrative practices

The best administrative practices for the program are monitoring, measuring, and streamlining. In monitoring, the administration is given the responsibility to make sure that the program is monitored (Lackéus, & Williams Middleton, 2015). The reason why this takes place is that this is a new program. The best way to know if a new program is working is by monitoring. A new program is like a new baby, and that means that it must be monitored more frequently.

Measuring is essential, and this is because it helps to know the performance of the program. The program has been put in place with the main aim or reaching a certain population, and this is why it becomes paramount to measure its performance. Measuring the performance of the program can be done from two different perspectives. The first perspective is based on how the program is embraced. When the introduction of a new program takes place, the people who are targeted are likely to be attracted to the program. Increase numbers of enrollments will mean that the program has done well in attracting people. The second perspective is based on the ability of the program to change the lives of the students. The effectiveness of a program is well known when the program succeeds in meeting the needs of the students and equipping them in a way that they become effective members of society.

Streamlining is an administrative practice that works well when there are gaps. The program has been introduced in an institution that has other programs. Therefore, it is likely for a collision to be experienced between the program and other programs. Streamlining the program and aligning it to school programs and schedules is essential in this case (Lackéus et al. 2015). The program is in the institution to stay, and it would be unfair for the students of the program to be given less attention than the rest of the programs.

Program components

Acting Program is diverse like many other programs, and it also needs the same attention as other programs. To make sure that the program is effective, there will be a need to include all components with the aim of promoting diversity. Some of the essential components in acting are performance, movement, speech, voice, and improvisation. One of the reasons why the program is in place is to make sure that the needs of the students are met. An actor has to depict a character that is not doubtable when compared to the original character (Marginson, 2016). For example, if the script talks about a person with a deep intimidating voice, the actor of the role has to depict the real nature of the character.

The inclusion of all acting components comes in place to make sure that diversity is promoted in the program. Institutions should always make sure that the programs that they embrace and implement are a representative of what is needed in the market. For example, the components have looked into all the needs of an acting student. It, therefore, means that if a student is interested in taking one component at a time, he or she is presented with an opportunity to do so (Marginson, 2016). The implementation of the program will be much more comfortable and better if the program is implemented in its entirety.

Campus

The main campus is the best choice when it comes to the introduction of a new program. The reason behind it is associated with the fact that most of the decisions are made in the main institutions. At the same time, most of the main campuses have a bigger number of students, and that means that they are most suitable (Marginson, 2016). In this case, the main campus will be the one that will be used for the introduction of the program.

Environmental factors

Internal and external environmental factors must be considered during the implementation. In internal environmental factors, some of the factors are the availability of resources to promote the learning process (Bowen, 2018). In external factors, the availability of interested persons to enroll in the program must be considered.

Conclusion

A program cannot be successful until it is introduced to an institution and at the same time implemented. The best practices should be utilized, and the best components of the program should be introduced. The reason for doing so is to make sure that the needs of all students should be met. Environmental factors come in place to help in knowing the best way to introduce the program.
