After have been a pharmacy tech for several years already. I have finally made the decision to start the process to becoming a pharmacist. My decision to go into pharmacy was not for the most conventional reasons. It all started due to the rescission. As everyone knows, it was hard to find or keep your current job. The economy took a hit in Oregon first; this was once of the reasons I moved from Oregon to Nevada. Not knowing at the time that the rescission was going to hit the hardest in Nevada. I knew that working in retail was never going to lead anywhere. This got me to start thinking as to what career field I wanted to get into and which had the most staying power even after the rescission was over. I finally chose the medical field, now that I had choose the I wanted to start a career in. I now had to do some research as to what job in the medical filed I wanted to get training in. I knew there was no way I wanted to work with any kind of body fluids. That took out a lot of chooses for me.

I had no interest in massage or medical coding and billing. These were the was the chooses I had at the school I went too. I ended up choosing pharmacy technician. The school was very poorly run and in the short time, I was in school we went through 5 teachers and 3 substitutes. During mm internship I went to a compounding pharmacy that I later got hired at. I loved the experience that I got from being there for over 8years. I now work at an assisted living facility as the medication care specialist. I love it here. After graduating the school it self closed down. I
