Ella Kissi-Debrah
Ella Kissi-Debrah is the first person whose cause of death is listed as pollution. Ella was a 9 year old girl living in London. The level of pollution where she lived and went to school caused severe asthma attacks. These asthma attacks caused respiratory failure that resulted in Ella’s death. If the pollution levels had not exceeded the legal limits Ella may be alive today.
