Topic: STRESS MANAGEMENT

I. Introduction:

Examine your topic and the role of wellness in society and how it influences aspects of culture and individual.

1. Analyze social practices- how have they shaped our idea of wellness and how has our idea of wellness shaped our social practices?

2. Explain how a topic in this course has or has not shaped our idea of wellness.

3. Include an analysis of wellness and health in society that has been a force for social change.

a. How has the emphasis or lack thereof influenced behaviors around the topic?

4. Assess how emerging technologies have potential to improve our personal and societies wellness (this does not have to be part of the introduction, it can be included in the plan or issue)

II. Issue:

Introduce your topic issue and how it relates to wellness using any of the topics that have been discussed throughout the course

1. Describe your issue that is related to wellness on a social or global level

a. Where did the issue originate?

b. What is the issue all about?

2. Describe your target population

a. Who is impacted?

b. What is important to know about them?

3. Show the relation between the issue and a topic in the course

a. Connecting the social or global issue to the issue you have chosen to discuss

i. (ex. Obesity, stems from lack of nutritious food and physical health.. etc.)

b. How does this information inform your understanding the issue?

4. Predict how the issue will or will not change in the future

a. Will it get better? Worse? Explain why you feel this prediction is true.

III. Plan:

Offer recommendations and strategies for a plan to improve the issue

1. Make recommendations to address the issue

a. What strategies or steps can be taken

b. How can these steps be implemented to avoid it happening again in the future

2. Explain the strategies that could be utilized

3. How do you plan to implement the plan? Use as many angles as you need

4. Explain the benefits and why your plan is the best option.

Guidelines for Submission: Your outline should be submitted as a two- to three-page document with double spacing, 12-point Times New Roman font, and oneinch margins. Sources should be cited according to APA style.
