I have selected the Jodi Arias murder case. The case was about Jodi who took her ex- lover’s life by stabbing him 27 times and later shooting him. At first, she pretended to have no idea about what happened to her ex-lover and pleaded not guilty, but after the discovery of images of her and the ex-lover few hours before he died she changed the story.

I am going to use several strategies when conducting this literature and finding peer-reviewed articles. The first strategy is based on following the six steps involved in the literature review process (Webster & Watson, 2016). These steps include formulating the research questions and objectives, searching the extant literature, screening for inclusion, assessing the quality of primary studies, extracting data and finally analyzing it. For this process to be a success, all these steps should be followed, since each step plays a certain role in the next step. The first step which is formulating the research questions, I am going to develop the search terms to avoid searching for things that are not relevant to the research. These terms will be based on Jodi and her ex-lover. In the second step which is searching the extant literature, I will focus on finding sources such as diaries that will help me identify what truly happened between Jodi and her ex-lover before they separated (Edwards, 2018). In the third step, I will screen the inclusion then later assess the quality of the first studies which will guide me in extracting data that I will finally analyze.

The other strategy is based on sticking to the purpose of the research. I will focus on the case study and avoid wasting time on things that won’t help me with the case study (Leary & Kowalski, 2017). The last strategy is avoiding predatory publishers and journals when I will be carrying out the case study.
