HRCU 600 HRM Issue Analysis Team Project

Length: 30 minute Team Presentation Due: Week 7 Value: 200 Points for 20% of the grade Post: Slides in designated discussion thread prior to scheduled presentation Online: Virtual presentations scheduled by the Instructor Blended: In-class presentations scheduled by the Instructor

Working in a 3 – 5 person team, research and prepare a 30 minute oral report that identifies a current people management issue, discusses best practices to address the issue, presents a case study of how a specific organization handled the issue, recommends implementation strategies for other organizations, and identifies three insights the team gained into effective people management. Each team must select a difference issue; and all team members participate in the oral presentation. A well-constructed presentation will cite and reference six or more sources and adhere to APA guidelines.

Presentation Guidelines

Your presentation must include all team members and address the following key points:

• Identify and describe the people management issue and its importance to HR and management

• Discuss best practices to address the HRM issue including defining key terms and presenting current theories and research that validates the effectiveness of recommended practices.

• Present a case study describing how a specific organization addressed this issue comparing identified best practices to the organization’s implementation.

• Recommend implementation strategies for other organizations discussing the responsibilities of Human Resources and line management.

• Identify and discuss three insights into effective people management your team gained from its research and analysis
