Reading 1: Chapter 8 in Alberto & Troutman text
Activities
Activity 1: Identify at least 2 journal articles that describe instructional and/or behavioral strategies that may assist you in designing an intervention for your target student (i.e., for your behavior change project). Go to the discussion board and cite the two articles using APA format.
Activity 2: Using the information learned during Week 3 (IEP Goal Components), this is a good time to write your behavior goals for your Behavior Change Project). For your Behavior Change project you will need
1 increasing behavior goal and 1 decreasing behavior goal with short term objectives.
For your increasing goal, think about your target behavior and utilize your replacement behavior (what they will do instead) to write your goal. For your decreasing goal write your goal to indicate decreasing rates of behavior. Both goals need to have short term objectives (remember although STO’s are only required for students who take the PASA, it is best practice, specifically with our students with behavioral needs so that we are able to celebrate each step of success! Utilize the attached word document and submit to the corresponding assignment box.
Activity 3: Schedules of Reinforcement Worksheet
