Overall Healthcare leadership goals

My current role in healthcare is work center supervisor for an internal medicine clinic. My setting at my healthcare organization is "large and eventful." We have 60 contractor employees, 35 civilian government employees, and 25 military employees in our organization. We all support internal medicines patients with our Expertise. My role in internal medicine is she sure that no one needs anything, and I also ensure that operations run smoothly. I have positional leadership over 20 military employees and functional managerial leadership over the entire work center. I guarantee our supplies are not running low, our printers have paper, our patients have short wait times, and I ensure employees are pulling their weight. 

My leadership style has to vary for each type of employee. I always keep professional, ethical integrity in my positional authority. When addressing the 60 contracted employees, they do not work for us; they work for a company my organization has paid. So if I can not handle an issue with these employees, I would contact the contracted agency. The civilian government employees (GS) are a little bit easier to handle, they have a GS Manager who can hire or fire all the GS employees, so if I have issues, I bring them to the GS manager. The military employees have two different categories officers and enlisted. For officers, my role is to relay responsibilities and offer support to them. My role is primarily the taskmaster for the enlisted, then give a statistical report to my higher-ups.

My future role is to be a Patient Care Manager (PCM), and my future healthcare setting is at a clinic or medical office. My degree completion and recent experience, being a PCM at a clinic, could level up and hone my skill set. I will love my role as a PCM because they are the liaison between healthcare providers and high-risk patients in need. Helping sick and high-risk patients remove barriers or roadblocks in their care is my passion. PCMs can set up transportation for patients, social services referrals, "The PCM is responsible for providing you all routine, non-emergency, and urgent health care. If they aren't able to offer you care, they will refer you to a specialist. "I am comfortable with my clinical setting or small medical office because I am a family man. The smaller setting makes it easier to Manipulate my schedule to take care of my patients' needs and the needs of my family. Having young children and still being young myself, I wouldn't want to jump into large healthcare setting so for the first 3-5 years of my new career.
