Executive summary

The Zucker Hillside Hospital receives many patients from different parts of the United States and aims to provide its patients the best experience and treatment. With the growing need for technological devices, applications, and network infrastructures, the Hospital faces many challenges: managing records for both staff and patients. Based on the Hospital's history, Epic and software systems were used to keep track of the billing system and patient records (Pfannstiel & Rasche, 2017). Also, there was an over-use of the Master Data Management System (MDM), which is usually slow and may cause errors at the level of multiple number series. Plus, the requirement to use pen and paper for record-keeping is not the best solution to adapt to the new technologies available today.

For these reasons, I thought about designing, implementing, and integrating a new AirWatch Workspace One app system. This IT solution will gradually reduce the amount of time spent accessing and entering data at the Hospital. Hence, the overall objective is to facilitate the daily practice of doctors, nurses, and employees (Batool & Masood, 2020). More importantly, the patients deserve to have an easy way to register, access, and maintain their prescriptions, billing circles, and treatment plans. Moreover, the application's success rests upon the stakeholders' approval, who will be involved in accepting and funding the IT project solution.

The background, the business mission, goals, objectives, and systems of the Hospital for whom the IT solution is being developed

As it has been noted before, the Hospital looks forward to upgrading its system and IT infrastructure to deliver excellent services and treatment for its patients. Developing a new management application, such as the AirWatch Workspace One app, will certainly improve data management and processing with fewer security issues. Although there are many management systems in the market, implementing the Air Watch Application in the Hospital will improve the administration work and physician and staff satisfaction levels (Batool & Masood, 2020). Additionally, physicians will spend less time waiting for IT help with significant reductions in their average total time to completion. Data provides that admins will be spending less time on tasks related to unsupported devices, which can reduce blocked devices. In short, the integration of AirWatch Workspace One is providing the Hospital with visible benefits over traditional systems. Features such as instant access to task logs can provide valuable insight for administrators managing remote access opportunities. What is more, software updates are easily pushed out across many devices without impacting productivity or user experience while providing more data security than traditional methods necessary for other hospitals today.

The business problem and description of the proposed solution

The main struggle for the hospital staff and physicians is accessing and monitoring devices on time and keeping patients' health in check regularly. Among other problems, there is management, especially with the use of other MDM systems, that causes malfunction and risk of security breaches. Also, the IT team is always busy fixing the website and filling records on papers when the old application shuts down (Guha et al., 2021). Giving the fact that there are departments close to the Hospital brings the problem of connectivity and communication as the facility uses the same application for both staff and patients.

As a result, The Air Watch Application will work to let staff know when a patient starts or stops using their breathing machine, allowing them to refill one when needed. The spread of COVID-19 has changed how IT professionals, stakeholders, and administrators perceive the world of advanced communication and management in the healthcare domain (Vilendrer et al., 2020). Thus, the AirWatch application in this Hospital would be helpful with its current system of augmentation, not prevention of infection. In many situations, for instance, the use of mechanical ventilation to breathe through a tube can become contaminated with germs easily if not cleaned timely and adequately enough according to best practices of hand hygiene. The application will prevent the occurrence of any malfunction at the level of these machines and other important devices.

The IT systems and stakeholders impacted by the proposal and their requirements

Moreover, the stakeholders will be satisfied to have an application that offers a lot of the features they need for their employees to make work more productive. After delivering the IT solution, they will feel relieved by not having to worry about the workers' safety and security anymore because they do not have to wait for someone from the company's IT department sometimes to get a problem fixed. The Air Watch, so to speak, provides a screencast solution, which may be important when it comes to securing patient data or content due to HIPAA guidelines set in place by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (Batool & Masood, 2020). Furthermore, the first party provides care and treatment services and commits to innovative care delivery, research, and education. Secondly, the IT department comprises IT developers responsible for creating programming scripts to run on a server or user's computer to provide specific functionality. Lastly, the third party is the client who benefits from using technology and other equipment along the process of their recovery.

The impact of the addition of global locations to business and customer needs and the proposed solution

The New AirWatch application for business needs is now on-device deployment classifications, which means that the IT team and administration can assign locations to each device. It is significant to have each device's location via GPS. Using location information in combination with information about devices ensures that the best device is deployed to the correct location. New AirWatch Device Management, like the one I am proposing, provides many options for identifying and classifying devices based on configuration attributes, including hardware IDs, asset tags, or connection profiles. When assigning a classification to a device profile, the profile uses these classifications to automatically configure security policies appropriate for the assets in each local area for both employees and patients. When many applications are deployed, location awareness becomes important to support each site's unique needs, procedures, and population. Therefore, the IT team will need to identify and evaluate how devices behave in different areas and then decide whether they are suitable for use specifically in the given area.

The possible opportunities, given the new structure, which were not possible before

All in all, the New AirWatch application integrated into the Hospital will replace many traditional practices and less-functional systems in data management. One of these is the use of paper charts. The information that was once on paper will now be digitally stored and accessible anywhere in the Hospital, with no need to print it off. This practice may also decrease busy patient wait times, as there is no need for additional staff members to make copies for them (Guha et al., 2021). Many other benefits come with this change, including cost savings, less environmental waste, and increased mobility with mobile devices (Vilendrer et al., 2020). Even though many websites and other systems have been used, alternative management solutions are created every day, equipped with new accessories and features that serve today's world needs.
