Dissertation in Psychology

During desktop studies, you need to consider whether the selected studies/ data sources follow the ethical principles for conducting research with human participants. Please consider the following:

·       Does the research you have reviewed follow the ethical principles (voluntary informed consent, deception is avoided, participants’ right to withdraw is maintained, harm is avoided, privacy is respected, disclosure is considered etc.)

·       Do you treat past research with a fair and an unbiased manner?

·       Is there a need to contact the authors for more details or will you limit your evaluation to the paper’s information?

·       Have you reviewed a study where you have decided not to report the findings because a pilot study was not carried out?

·       Can the research you have reviewed be replicated in another setting with different participants for validating the results?

Length: 500 - 600 words;

This section comprises the task for week 4 and it should be submitted by all students in order to be able to proceed with the dissertation.
