Communication is the best way that our group was able to overcome this week’s barriers. Through brainstorming and communication, we were able to come up with creative solutions to our issue that we discussed in week three. Each person was able to post at their own time on our group chat and we were able to discuss what our solutions would be to the problems we had. We chose to write about financial issue when expanding a business last week. The freedom to post when ever is helpful since we all live in different time zones and that was a big barrier for us. We are able to put our information and ideas into the group chat and check later into the day to get feedback and other opinions.

When creatively identifying the solution, we made sure to set up what exactly the problem was. Since we decided that the problem was financial issues with company expansion the solutions were easier to identify. There were different options given with a website link to show valid reasoning for the choice. The website link offered the ability to discover original and novel ideas that led to a feasible creative alternative. In the sense of promoting group creativity there was brainstorming to generate a variety of alternatives from which a decision was made (Moore & Parker, n.d.,). There was an open and clear communication about coming to the decision. At a group level, the use of brainstorming promoted ideas that ultimately lead to our solutions.
