Background

We live in a global world, characterized by relationships, interdependencies, and collaborations between nations for various reasons - from exercising economic power to promoting environmental awareness. Globalization exposes us to an unmatchable diversity of national political, legal, cultural, and economic systems we need to understand in order to be effective leaders in the global economic environment we live in today. The purpose of this blog series of assignments is to prepare you to do a thorough research on a country to understand how it is positioned in the global economy, what are the country’s strengths and weaknesses, and what opportunities for collaboration it offers.

Summary

For this first blog assignment you need to research the international trade and foreign direct investments (FDI) of the country of your choice. You need to describe your research findings, support them with academic and visual sources, and make a conclusion about the country’s strengths, weaknesses and opportunities.
