Roles in the Judicial System
When it comes to making sure that the system operates in the manner in which it was intended, the functions of the judicial system are critical. The system is
where the courts will determine whether or not anything happened, and, if so, what should be done about it in the future. The roles are in place to determine whether or not a person has committed a crime and, if so, what kind of punishment should be administered. When parties are unable to reach a peaceful agreement, the legal system may assist them in finding a peaceful solution to their dispute. What is the judge’s power, and how is it used? A judge has a great deal of author-
ity in the legal system. An application for a search and seizure warrant may be granted by the court after it has been evaluated to see whether there are reasonable grounds to assume that the applicant has committed a crime. The defendant will be informed by the court upon the arrest of a suspect, and the judge has the author- ity to impose penalties on a suspect who is freed. The one job of the judge that is considered to be the most apparent is when the judge rule over a trial by jury, ac- cording to many people. The judge guarantees that the prosecution and defense attorneys follow the law while presenting their claims. It is also the judge's job to protect the rights of those who have been charged. When it comes to ensuring that the defendant is handled properly, the judge has a responsibility. Finally, a court

may impose sanctions following a conviction (Hemmens, et al., 2019). What is the prosecutor’s power, and how is it used? One authority that the prosecutor has
that neither the courts nor the defense attorneys have is the ability to determine what charges should be brought against a person. The prosecutor is the one who ne- gotiates a plea agreement on behalf of the state, and the length of time a defendant spends in prison is directly related to the charges he or she faces. Bond is usually requested by the prosecution, and the amount of bail is determined by the charges the defendant is facing. The amount of bail may also be impacted by a defendant's prior criminal record, which is determined by the prosecutor. The prosecution may also request that the defendant be held without the possibility of re- lease on bail. Prosecutors have the power to remove a judge from the process of deciding on mandatory minimum sentences during the plea-bargaining process.
What is the defense attorney’s power, and how is it used? A lawyer for the defense is someone who is hired to defend a client who has been accused of commit-
ting a crime. In addition to defending their client, this attorney's responsibility is to ensure that the prosecutor follows the professional norms set out by the court sys- tem. The defendant's constitutional rights will be upheld, and the defense counsel will ensure that this is the case. It is the defense attorney's responsibility to monitor the prosecutor and to remind the court of their legal obligations in order to ensure that the defendants' rights are maintained (Stappert, 2020). What is the rela-
tionship between the judge, prosecutor, defense, and police? The prosecution is reliant on the police for assistance since they may face legal consequences if they do not. The prosecution is reliant on the police investigation, and the police are reliant on them in order to get warrants for their investigations. As the case proceeds to trial, the defense team must identify whether or not the police made any mistakes in their probe. When a defense attorney wants to bring up the possibility that a state witness is prejudiced or otherwise unreliable, they rely on the judge's familiarity with the case to guarantee that the court will back them up if they find anything wrong (Bartels, 2020)
What is the duty of a jury? How does the power of different judicial system roles vary in other countries? Are there any best practices that could apply in the U.S.
judicial system? Explain how. It is the jury's responsibility to hear the evidence presented by both sides and determine if there is enough evidence to prove guilt or whether the defendant bears responsibility for the crime committed. The evidence that is utilized by the court is determined by the judge, who determines what evi- dence should be used and what evidence should be avoided. The jury is a group of persons who have been called and sworn in to listen to the evidence that is
being presented at the trial in which they are serving. Other nations do not use the word "jury" since only a few countries have a jury trial system, and the phrase is not used in other countries. Because of inherent biases in our legal system, I don't think the judge should have as much power in deciding the fate of a defendant as he or she has in other nations.
