My Career field Topic

WK2 Speech Description:

Present a 2 to 4 minute (closer to 4 minutes than to 2) speech to inform the audience on why you chose your career or field of study. Describe the scope and principal features of the field and include the core theories and practices within the field.

Your outline is a little sparse and unclear about topics and supporting information. Be sure to stick to the provided templates for future outlines. I'm looking forward to hearing more about your career in the medical field with the Navy, let me know if you have any questions or want to bounce any ideas around.

Here's a few things to keep in mind for your speech:

1. Be sure to have your camera at eye level and follow the rubric. You can sit or stand for this speech. Go with whichever you need to practice for any public speaking you know you'll need to do outside of class. 

2. Try to light yourself well from the front without bright lights or sunny windows behind you and keep your background as neutral as possible. 

3. Make sure your microphone input is adjusted properly so that we can hear you well without distorting or being too quiet. 

4. Try to condense your outline down to only the key points you may need to occasionally glance at. The last thing we want is to just read straight from a script.
