Hello Class,
Interpretivist methodology best fit is because it "allows the research participant to try and explain allowing your participants to try to explain to you in as much depth and detail as possible what they have experienced and how they have thought and felt about it." (Gordon,2019)
An interpretivist believe that you should be up front about your biases and to make sure that you speak on that from the beginning because as it states bias is and waste of time and unavoidable. It is much better to be objective and put your views and experiences aside and accurately report the views and experiences that the research participant give in their interview.
Many interpretivist must be willing and open themselves to form a strong relationship with the researcher to where they feel comforatble enough to open up and be willing to talk. This is where the bias comes into play. You must not be judgemental towards them becuase they are willing to put their trust in you to share their experince, its like you are going through their life with them no matter your views.

Re: Topic 2 DQ 1
Good evening class, interpretivist is the best because not only does it allow you to dive into the research from firsthand and personal perspective, but it allows you to work with your participant. Of course, in order to do this you would need to build a very strong rapport and trust so that your participant behaves just as they would if you weren’t there. During your study you can shift focuses and asks questions to the participant because they are aware of the study. In interpretivist methodology you don’t ignore bias and instead acknowledge them and determine how that bias may have affected the study.
