The Carolina league is a minor league baseball league which operates along the Atlantic coast of the united states of America. It is categorized as class A-Advanced league.

This baseball league is comprised of 10 teams situated in various cities across the northern and southern divisions (Ballparks of Baseball 2007).

Historical perspective

Carolina League was inaugurated in 1945 during world war II.

Two Southside Virginia cities was featured in the league.

It was commonly referred to North Carolina league in 1940s and 1950s.

It underwent financial constraints in 1970s.

Carolina League was founded during World War II, the Carolina League’s inaugural 1945 season featured two Southside Virginia cities. But throughout the 1940s and 1950s it was known as a predominately North Carolina League. In those days it wasn’t unusual for talented players to make a career out of Minor League Baseball. Though CL playing talent remained strong with great stars such as Dave Parker, the 1970s were a difficult time financially throughout Minor League Baseball. A number of cities found they could not support teams, and CL membership dwindled to four clubs. In a pair of bold moves in the late 1970s and early 1980s the CL went as far as north Maryland and re-established the Durham Bulls with two expansions in three years.

The league has been able to nurture high ranging footballers in the nation who have gained access to completive leagues such as EPL. It is because of leagues profitable nature that Charles town is gaining to attract new players and sponsors of teams such as Charles city council to take part in the league. The objective is nurturing young talents is to benefit both to the town and the Carolina league.

The goals of Charles Town expansion team is to enter the Carolina League and nature young talents in football (Mullin, Hardy, & Sutton, 2007). This is because the league has enabled many players to rise to the highest level in football league in the nation and advance their careers with some players gaining access to the most competitive leagues in the world such as English Premier League. Similarly, the team is sponsoring the team to enhance its reputation, promote income levels and market the city as a tourist destination. This is because the Carolina League is lucrative and has a good reputation which will help boost the brand of the city. The town income levels will be enhanced through selling of tickets, merchandise, luxury suites, sponsorship, and advertising among others.

A mission statement describes the current state of an organization and its primary goals or objectives. It provides detailed information about what the organization does, how it does it, and who it does it for. Unlike the vision statement, it is short-term in nature. However, it is related to the vision statement in that it outlines the primary goals that will help to achieve the future the organization desires.

Values determine the way in which an organization’s treat clients, and shapes their basic talents. A systematic approach to build organizational values enables an organization to develop an effective and strong work culture to bind the behavior of individuals.

Promotes the culture of Charles Town.

The league will improve the living standards of the people of Charles Town.

Cohesiveness and co-existence will be enhanced.

Trade ties within the states will improve.

The Carolina League will promote culture due to cultural interaction between the individuals from different cities participating in the league. It will also boost the living standards of the people residing in the Charles Town City (Sarah, 2019). These individuals can sell merchandise during the onset of the league and boost their incomes. In addition, the league will boost co-existence and cohesiveness because the people of Charles city will support their team that is participating in the league. This will make them to strive for one purpose to motivate and cheer their team as a city. Finally, the league will enhance business ties within the cities that are participating in the league. Charles City will have to source other requirements from other cities to facilitate and make the league sucessful.

During the first month the team will develop the implementation plan and including the finances they will use to sponsor a team in the baseball team. They will then plan for the resources and equipments required to make the league successful in their city. They will then pick and sponsor a team in baseball league. They will pick highly talented individuals. Furthermore, they will host the league in the city, after which they will monitor and measure the outcomes. They will assess the level of income, reputation of the city, and the impact of the league in the community.
