1.Epistemology has two approaches rationalism and empiricism. In your own words, describe the thinking of rationalism. What are the fundamental differences between rationalism and empiricism?
2. This week’s reading states, “Although always a part of philosophy, psychology has close ties as well to biology, especially human physiology and medicine” (2002). Hippocrates was against the ancient view of mysticism and superstition regarding illnesses and their cause (i.e., humors; black bile, phlegm, blood, and yellow bile). How has the rebirth of medicine helped influence psychology today?
