Why Should We Install Renewable Energy with a High Initial Investment?

Recent developments in technology, sustainability of conventional fuels use and increased interest in environmental impacts have attracted worldwide attention to the production of considerable amounts of clean, sustainable electricity from renewable energy sources (Boyle,2004).

Sustainable and renewable energy refers to the energy that is used to reuse existing fossil fuels or to convert renewable energy. Renewable energy is the energy collected from renewable resources and naturally replenished to human time zones such as sunlight, wind, rain, waves, and geothermal heat.

The background of renewable energy; as the population increases and the industry develops, demand for fossil fuels increases, causing problems such as exhaustion of resources and rising international prices. In addition, as fossil fuels are recognized as a cause of global warming, there is a growing tendency to reduce the use of fossil fuels such as disadvantage for countries with high usage. According to Daniel Yergin, Special to CNN in an article The rebirth of renewable energy, Renewable energy is undergoing regeneration all over the world. It is becoming a big business. It is also becoming a more established part of global energy supply. Last year, $ 120 billion was spent to install renewable power around the world. However, it is still a relatively small business compared to the entire energy business, and we are still facing great difficulties in expanding our scale globally. Thus, sustainable renewable energy is attracting attention despite the fact that the initial equipment cost is high.

There are several characteristics of renewable energy. First of all, renewable energy is not depleted because it can be regenerated unlike fossil fuel. Second, it is environmentally friendly because there is little pollutant or carbon dioxide emission. Third, it distributes evenly on the earth relative to fossil fuels. Forth, when constructing a power plant, it is affected by the natural environment. In last, In the early stage of development, investment cost is high and economic efficiency is low.

Renewable energy is the energy collected from renewable resources and naturally replenished to human time zones such as sunlight, geothermal power, wind and biomass etc.,

First of Solar. This form of energy relies on the nuclear fusion power from the core of the Sun.This energy can be collected and converted in a few different ways. The range is from solar water heating with solar collectors or attic cooling with solar attic fans for domestic use to thecomplex technologies of direct conversion of sunlight to electrical energy using mirrors and boilers or photovoltaic cells. Unfortunately, these are currently insufficient to fully power our modern society.

Wind Power is the movement of the atmosphere is driven by differences of temperature at the Earth's surface due to varying temperatures of the Earth's surface when lit by sunlight. Wind energy can be used to pump water or generate electricity but requires extensive areal coverage to produce significant amounts of energy. According to Michael Harthorne, in an article Google makes big promise on renewable energy, 100% of that massive amount of energy will come from renewable sources, Google announced Tuesday the Guardian, the company got 44% of its energy from wind and solar last year in 2017 (Michael,2016).

Geothermal power is energy left over from the original accretion of the planet and augmented by heat from radioactive decay seeps out slowly everywhere, every day. In certain areas the geothermal gradient (increase in temperature with depth) is high enough to exploit to generate electricity. This possibility is limited to a few locations on Earth and many technical problems exist that limit its utility. Another form of geothermal energy is Earth energy, a result of the heat storage in the Earth's surface. Soil everywhere tends to stay at a relatively constant temperature, the yearly average, and can be used with heat pumps to heat a building in winter and cool a building in summer. This form of energy can lessen the need for other power to maintain comfortable temperatures in buildings but cannot be used to produce electricity. According to National Science Foundation (NFS), The geothermal energy filter identified 937 USPTO patents granted between 1980 and 2010.

Bioenergy is the term for energy from plants. Energy in this form is very commonly used throughout the world. Unfortunately, the most popular is the burning of trees for cooking and warmth. This process releases copious amounts of carbon dioxide gases into the atmosphere and is a major contributor to unhealthy air in many areas. Some of the more modern forms of biomass energy are methane generation and production of alcohol for automobile fuel and fueling electric power plants.

Fossil fuels can not be regenerated. In other words, resources are eventually reduced and eventually become expensive and harmful to the environment. Conversely, various types of renewable energy sources such as wind, bio, geothermal and solar energy are constantly replenished and never consumed. renewable energy is not depleted because it can be regenerated unlike fossil fuel. And it is environmentally friendly because there is little pollutant or carbon dioxide emission. And it distributes evenly on the earth relative to fossil fuels. We must strive for sustainable energy production.
