We Love Video Inc. SDLC Recommendation

After careful consideration and a lot of deliberation with the We Love Video crew, we have come to the decision that the Software Development Life Cycle that we are going to be using to develop the new Customer Relationship Management system. As discussed in the presentation the reasons we will be using this system are plentiful and include the Agile methodology being known for it’s flexibility, “it separates the project development lifecycle into sprints” (Guru99. 2019). The agile method allows us to get the project going quickly, while still maintaining pace and adhering to the changes requested during the scrum sessions.

Being a woman of reason and not wanting to reinvent the wheel, I also have to go with statistics. “Statistics clearly show that, considering the degree to which the constraints are met, the agile methodologies consistently deliver more successful projects than the waterfall model. This is seconded by the 2017 study conducted by PWC, which also indicates that agile projects are 28% more successful than traditional projects” (Sweeney. 2019). There are many more statistics stating the same facts, however, the features we have to have are the ability to change where the software is going, what it can do and to take the feedback of the stakeholders into considerations throughout the duration of the development.

The CRM will negate the need for spreadsheets containing customer data as that will be migrated into the system and readily available when everyone has been trained. Similarly Adaptive Insights for Finance will also be integrated into the CRM so that Finance will be on the same page. Speaking of integration, the CRM will create a centralized customer database that will streamline the processes between sales and support. When customers call in to support, they will be connected to someone who knows exactly what they bought, when, how and for what price.

We Love Video will be streaming video for international customers, with millions of available titles in no time with this new strategic CRM, built for the success of the individual employee along with the entertainment pleasure of customers world-wide.
