1. Work Related Accidents

A local hospital has noticed that their DART (Days Away, Restricted, Transferred) rates are through the roof over the last couple of months. The DART rates are used to assess workplace safety and consist of any workplace injury or illness. Currently the senior leadership team is worried that the OSHA Department (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) will be scheduling a visit any time now, since they are obligated to report these numbers to the government and they haven’t had numbers this high in a long time. They believe it is related to the many construction projects that are going on as part of a renovation initiative the hospital is rolling out. They’re looking for a goal/objective that can help them focus on decreasing these numbers fast!

A young marketing firm has grown exponentially and is at a place where they are big enough to purchase a more robust record keeping software that tracks all their phone conversations with the many clients they have.
