Research topic
Defining a long-term plan technology plan for Apple Inc. Company that will make it the leading innovative tech company in the coming century. This is an important topic mainly because the technology industry has been on a relatively flat innovation period which only brings gradual improvements annually. With this new technology plan, Apple Inc. Company will be able to change the trend of innovations by developing a product which will revolutionize the tech industry. Conducting this research will give a clear analysis of the previous tech innovations which have either failed completely or failed to achieve their desired objective such as the smart watches; so as to gather insights on how to operate an effective plan (Kovach, 2017). Additionally, the research will help in the preparation of a detailed outline of the steps which will be taken to ensure the achievement of the desired goal.
Strategic technology plan
The development of the strategic technology plan will involve the creation and adoption of new technology in different operations of the organization to come up with a mind-blowing concept to change the tech world. First and foremost, the plan will guide the creation, prototyping, testing, and use of the organization’s technology which will go hand in hand with the company’s ten years plan (Safian, 2018). Second, the plan will act as the guide for the company’s tech budget ensuring adequate resources are channeled in. And lastly, the plan will ensure that Apple remains the leading tech company by having more effective creations compared to its competitors such as Microsoft, Samsung, Dell, and Lenovo.
