Purpose

The purpose of this lab is to show off your understanding of website design by critiquing a current website.

Description

· Find a website that you visit often.

· Visit the Discussion Board, “Web Design Assignment Claims”

· If no one else has claimed the site, claim it on the board by making a post with a link to the site.

· If someone else has claimed the site, please find another one

· Write a website critique of the site by answering the questions below

Detailed Description

· Answer the following questions about the website based on the discussion from class:

· Describe the organization of the site? Why do you think they organized it this way?

· Based off of the website, describe the purpose of the site? Is the site design related to the site purpose?

· Explain: does the website use design principles? (repetition, contrast, proximity, alignment) Explain your answer.

· Has the website written their text well? Explain your answer and give suggestions to make it better.

· Describe the color scheme? (Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary) What is the main color, accent colors, etc…

· Test the site in two website testers, how did it perform? What would you change on the site to improve its performance?

· Describe what you would change about the site? Why?

Deliverable

· Written report, single spaced, Calibri font size 11 (or similar), ~2 pages
