Global Giant

One might question, what does Walmart do to continue

be successul and keep costs to a minimum? There are

several things that this retail giant has incorporated into

operations.

First, “Walmart became the rst major retailer to deman

manuacturers to use a radio requency identication

technology (RFID). The technology uses radio requenc

to transmit data stored on small tags attached to pallets

individual products. RFID tags hold signicantly more da

than bar codes” (Wilbert, 2018, para. 6).

Another interesting act is that “Walmart is the single mo

important pipeline distributing wealth rom rich countrie

poor countries” (Kestenbaum, 2017, para. 3).
